This prayer card contains the "Golden Arrow" prayer, given to Sister Mary of St. Peter who was a Carmelite nun in France. Through an internal vision of Jesus in 1843, she saw the Sacred Heart of Jesus pierced by a Golden Arrow. Jesus gave her this prayer so that one could "shoot directly into the Heart of God" and heal the wounds inflicted on it through sacrilege and blasphemy against his Holy Name.
In her biography, Sister Mary of St. Peter writes, “My name is everywhere blasphemed!...He then made me see that this frightful sin wounds His divine Heart more grievously than all other sins, showing me how by blasphemy the sinner curses Him to His Face, attacks Him publicly, nullifies his redemption, and pronounces his own judgment and condemnation. Our Lord then made me visualize the act of blasphemy as a poisoned arrow continually wounding His divine Heart. After that He revealed to me that He wanted to give me a ‘Golden Arrow’ which would have the power of wounding Him delightfully, and which would also heal those other wounds inflicted by the malice of sinners.” (August 26, 1843)
Our Lord asked that this prayer be prayed everyday before the Blessed Sacrament or before a picture of the Holy Face.

LITANY FOR MARRIAGE PRAYER CARD
Written by: Aaron and Marie Loesel, with collaboration of a few devout couples.
In Tobit 8:7, Tobit and his wife, Sarah prayer together, “Send down Your mercy and grant that we may grow old together.”
In Ephesians, St. Paul says to wives and husbands, “Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives should be subordinate to their husbands as to the Lord…Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and handed himself over for her to sanctify her.”
And the great St. John Paul II said, “Marriage is an act of will that signifies and involves a mutual gift, which unites the spouses and binds them to their eventual souls.”
Marriage is a beautiful covenant that unites a man and woman as a gift to one another. A gift to grow together and carry one another through all seasons of life. We wrote this litany together to invite the Holy Spirit to transform both our individual hearts and our marriage. This vocation is hard, sanctifying work. One that we cannot do without the loving guidance from God.
We pray that this litany transforms your marriages and unites you in a bond full of gratitude for one another and the blessings of this beautiful covenant. May you always encourage one another, pray for and with one another, and keep Christ at the center of your marriage. Holy Family, pray for us!

Has someone let you know of a family member who is dying, or maybe you have a loved one in hospice and you wanted to do something to support them in prayer?
The Chaplet of Divine Mercy is one traditional prayer that is prayed for those who are sick or dying. This Chaplet of Divine Mercy Card is intended to send the encouragement of your prayers and let them know you prayed for them or their loved one.

About the Design:
The inspiration for the watercolor artwork of Divine Mercy Jesus is from the painting that Jesus asked St. Faustina to have painted of His vision to her. In the vision, there are two rays emanating from Christ's heart, a "pale ray" that represents the “Water which makes souls righteous" and a red ray that represents the "Blood which is the life of souls" [Diary, 299]. The arch surrounding Jesus contains beads that represent the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, with the words from the Chaplet: "For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us, and on the whole world."
The inside of the card has the words that Jesus asked St. Faustina to include with the Divine Mercy image: "Jesus, I trust in You", as well as a quote from the Diary encouraging souls to pray the Chaplet.

Our Lady of Czestochowa, also known as "The Black Madonna of Poland", is an icon that is especially cherished by the people of Poland. The icon has been under the care of the Pauline Fathers and Brothers at their Jasna Góra monastery near Czestochowa, Poland for over six centuries.
In the icon, the Blessed Mother looks out at the viewer, and holds Jesus in her arms. Her right hand points towards him, emphasizing the focus on his role as Savior of the world. The child Jesus holds a book in His left hand, and with His right hand, makes a gesture related to teaching or blessing.
One element that makes this icon unique is the set of scratches seen on the right cheek and neck of the Blessed Mother. Pious legend says that after robbers invaded the monastery in the 1400s, they took the icon with them in their wagon, but were unable to move forward. One of them threw the icon to the ground and slashed it with his sword twice, but when he went to strike it a third time, he fell to the ground and died. It is said that the scratches, which appear as scars on our Blessed Mother, have been attempted to be repaired over the years, but they continue to reappear.
The scratches have given hope to the people of Poland in the difficult moments of their history, representing wounds that remind us of another title of hers, Our Lady of Sorrows. This icon is known for the many miracles that have occurred over the centuries through Our Lady of Czestochowa's intercession.
